Fireworks give life and color to the night sky. Fireworks display and events are held in various places in Japan throughout the year but most prominently during the summer season when the wind is gentler and the sky is clearer.
Summer Hanabi with its festival atmosphere attracts not only Japanese but foreigner residents and tourists as well, drawing around 700,000 to more than a million viewers in one night. Most Japanese men and women attend this event wearing the traditional yukata, summer kimono or jinbei which makes the event really fun & unforgettable. Street vendors also set up stalls and sell various types of drinks, food, desserts, and traditionally held festival games.
